Which register do I need?
They share one spine: a named owner, a classification, and a review date on every row. Pick by the framework your next audit speaks. If more than one applies, start with the NIS2 register (the widest field list) and read the Article 21(2) checklist for where an inventory does and does not count as evidence. The full reasoning behind the columns is in the NIS2 evidence guide and the ISO 27001 A.5.9 guide.
The register that maintains itself
OnTrackio keeps the same register agent-reconciled with owners, classification, and a change history, exported in NIS2, SOC 2, or ISO 27001 vocabulary. Public pricing, 30-minute demo.
